Heartwarming stories of rescue, love, and second chapters from the heart of Tangier.
The Kasbah Cat Project highlights the wonderful felines rescued from the streets of Tangier by SFT Animal Sanctuary and our dedicated supporters. Behind every cat is a unique journey of survival, unexpected friendship, and finding a true forever home.
I'm the white beauty who was lucky enough to be rescued by a very kind man. He loved me dearly, but when his wife was expecting their second child, sadly, they could no longer keep me.
A friend of the family pleaded with my human to adopt me… and they said yes! I was only six months old, full of energy and ready to play all day long. And then I discovered something wonderful…
My new human already had another little girl — Mlle, who was exactly the same age as me! Can you imagine how lucky I was? I didn’t just find a new home. I found a sister, a best friend, and a family.
And sometimes, the most beautiful second chapter begins when you least expect it. 🐾
I'm a little blue-eyed Siamese, and when I was only three months old, I was left in my furry little basket, with a bag of food beside me, in front of an amazing human known for feeding the stray cats. She took me in and began looking for a loving family for me.
But because I was so beautiful, many people wanted to adopt me for the wrong reasons — to breed me, or simply because I was something beautiful and unusual to have. Then my human saw a post from SFT Animal Sanctuary… and she fell completely in love with me. She knew she didn’t want me to be chosen for my beauty. She wanted me to be loved simply for being me. So she welcomed me into her family, where I met all my wonderful sisters. Today, I have a home filled with love, companionship and beautiful feline friendships.
How lucky am I? 🐾 And the best part? I'm loved for exactly who I am.
I'm the proud mama of Mlle[cite: 10].
My human first fell in love with me while feeding me every day in the Kasbah. She soon discovered that I wasn’t simply a hungry little cat — I was a nursing mother of six tiny kittens.
My babies were living in a parking space in the Kasbah, a dangerous place for such little kittens. When my human saw my daughter Mlle, just three weeks old, she fell in love with her immediately. She rescued Mlle, but she didn’t forget about me or the other kittens. She came back every day to check on us.
Sadly, I lost 4 of my babies in that parking space and another one got adopted. Then, one day, my human came back for me. She took me to be reunited with my little daughter, Mlle.
